This short course provides the learner with an introduction to the healthcare sector. We will explore the different types of healthcare settings, as well as a range of jobs available in the sector.  

Who is this course for?
Learners who are over 19 years of age and possess a keen interest in the health and social care sector, or considering a career in the sector.

Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements, this course is for complete beginners. People with a limited amount of knowledge on the subject may join this course to refresh their knowledge.

Course aims
By the end of the course, the learner will:- -Understand the range of service provision and roles within health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare Knowledge. -Understand the principles and values in health and social care (adults and children and young people), early years and childcare.

How will the course be delivered?
You will work with a tutor and other learners face to face.

Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
You will be expected to review your notes between lessons to ensure maximum benefit from your course.

How will I know I'm making progress?
At the beginning of the session, your tutor will share with you the objectives of the day, which will give you an opportunity to think about your individual aims for the session. At the end of the session, you will have time to share your experience and reflect on what you learned.

What will I need for the course?
