This qualification aims to develop the learner's knowledge and understanding of:

*various common health conditions
* monitoring the health of individuals affected by health conditions.

The purpose of this qualification is to give learners currently working in, or intending to work in, adult health and social care an awareness of a range of common health conditions. Learners may then progress to additional qualifications to gain a more in-depth understanding of specific health conditions

Course aims
This qualification is designed for learners looking to start work in, or already working in health and social care, who would like an understanding of common health conditions and their effects on individuals. This qualification aims to develop the learner’s knowledge and understanding of: *various common health conditions; *monitoring the health of individuals affected by health conditions. The objective of this qualification is to: *prepare learners for further training and to support a role in the workplace where the individual may work or interact with those experiencing different health conditions.

Qualification
NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Common Health Conditions To be awarded the Level 2 Certificate in Common Health Conditions, learners must achieve a minimum of 15 credits and it is internally assessed. Mandatory unit Understand How to Contribute to Monitoring the Health of Individuals Affected by Health Conditions. 12 optional units.

How will the course be delivered?
All courses are exclusively delivered via an online learning, self-study programme

How will I know I'm making progress?
You will receive regular feedback from an assessor following completion and submission of individual units You will also receive weekly updates of progress as well as any outstanding items.

Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
Your study pattern is self-managed, but a commitment of 2 - 3 hours per week is suggested to enable successful completion of the course within the timescale of 20 weeks.

What will I need to take to the course?
You will need use of a desktop or laptop computer with access to the internet
