There are no specific prior skills/knowledge a learner must have for this qualification. However, learners may find it helpful if they have already achieved an entry level qualification

This qualification aims to:
focus on the study of the basic principles of health and safety, including hazards and risks within the workplace
The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to:
understand the importance of health and safety procedures
raise awareness of the potential hazards and risks in the workplace
understand the implications of poor health and safety
know key rights and responsibilities relating to health and safety

How will the course be delivered?
Blended learning- face to face or online delivery.

Your tutor will suport you through the qualification and advise you on your progress at regular intervals
Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
It is always benefitial to review your notes outside of the session and practice your skills between sessions. Your tutor may set some home learning for you to practice.
What will I need to take to the course?
You will find it useful to bring a pen/pencil and notebook with you to your session. Please note that food and drink are not allowed during the session, although you may bring a bottle of water with you if required.
