Who is this course for?
These courses are an ideal first step for those wanting to gain a Level 2 qualification and may be particularly useful for those working in the voluntary and community sectors.

Entry requirements
Over 19s. Learners will need to undertake an initial assessment prior to starting the course.

Course aims
The aim of this qualification is to increase learners' knowledge and understanding of supporting adults living with cancer, different categories and types of cancer, introduction to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, how family members and others support individuals with cancer care, introduction to end of life and bereavement care. Mandatory units include the following:- Unit 01 D/618/1198 Cancer awareness Unit 02 H/618/1199 Introduction to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer Unit 03 L/618/1200 Introduction to cancer care and support Unit 04 R/618/1201 Introduction to end of life and bereavement care

NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Cancer Support

How will the course be delivered?
All courses are exclusively delivered via an online learning, self-study programme

Will I need to study or practise outside the classroom?
Your study pattern is self-managed, but a commitment of 2 - 3 hours per week is suggested to enable successful completion of the course within the timescale of 20 weeks.

How will I know I'm making progress?
You will receive regular feedback from an assessor following completion and submission of individual units You will also receive weekly updates of progress as well as any outstanding items.

What will I need to take to the course?
You will need a desktop computer or laptop with internet computer.
