This course provides foundational knowledge and understanding of child development (birth to age 5), the importance of play in learning, creating nurturing environments, effective communication with children and families, safeguarding procedures, hygiene practices, and promoting healthy development. Learners will explore roles and responsibilities within early years settings and delve into various stages of child development. They will learn how to create stimulating environments, build positive relationships with children and families, and discover strategies for ensuring children's health and safety. This course is assessed through a variety of methods including written assignments, presentations, and practical activities.
